What if your Bible reading wasn't something you had to rush through? What if instead of trying to read as much Scripture as possible, you spent your year slowing down, camping out in God's Word? What if you got to know the Lord more deeply and actually delighted in spending time with Him? That's the heart behind Walking in the Word.
For the past three years, I've read through the entire Bible in a year. And while I loved the discipline and the accomplishment, there were times when it felt like I was running and rushing through Scripture instead of pausing and soaking it up.
In January 2026, I started praying about what God wanted my Bible study time to look like this year. I knew I needed a plan. I wanted something that would keep me anchored to God's Word without making my time with Him feel rushed or overwhelming. My word of the year is WALK, and as I prayed and pondered what that could look like, the phrase "Walking in the Word" kept coming to mind. I began imagining what it would be like to camp out in one book of the Bible at a time. And that's how this online course/Bible reading plan was born.
Walking in the Word invites you to slow down and spend an entire month focused on one book of the Bible.
You'll read approximately one chapter a day, giving you time to:
READ: Spend intentional time in God's Word.
REFLECT: Notice what God is showing you and sit with what you've read.
RESPOND: Pray, journal, study, and consider how God's Word applies to your life, especially doing it in a creative way to help you DELIGHT in spending time with the Lord.
REPEAT: Many of the books are short, so you'll read them more than once throughout the month. God's Word is living and active, so this will Scripture come to life in a new way each time you read it.
A Bible reading plan that follows the seasons
I intentionally chose books of the Bible that connect with the themes and seasons throughout the year. For example, February is all about love, so we'll spend the month in 1 John, a book filled with reminders about God's love and what it means to love one another. Each month gives you a new opportunity to slow down, explore a different book of the Bible, and discover what God wants to teach you through His Word.
Walking in the Word is a guided, year-long Bible journey through 12 books of the Bible. Each month includes at least five Bible study teaching videos to help you slow down and grow in confidence as you study. The teaching videos are quick 3-7 minutes, which makes it easy to incorporate into your Bible study time.
You can join now in this special preorder season, with the full experience completely uploaded to the course by the end of 2026 so you can use it to read through the Bible in 2027 as a Creative Faith Community. This is intentional, steady growth that will deepen your faith and strengthen your foundation in God’s Word.

I have been reading and studying the Bible since I fell in love with Jesus as a freshman in high school, back in 2006! Since 2016 I have been reading the Bible daily. While my walk with God is not perfect, I LOVE reading God's Word and teaching others more about how to study the Bible. I started Creative Faith & Co. in November of 2016. I enjoy combining my creativity with my faith.
I live in Oregon with my husband, Juan. In addition to reading the Bible, I love prayer journaling, sloths, chocolate chip cookies, going on walks, speaking Spanish, and taking naps. I cannot wait to teach you more!
